LMOOD’s first flagship store occupies two floors in Seoul’s Seongsu district, translating the brand’s philosophy into a 495-square-metre retail environment. Guided by the principle “Form and Function are One,” the project reflects the brand’s emphasis on minimalism, practicality and the relationship between form and function.
The design is based on three ideas—Minimal, Refine and Mood—which shape a restrained material palette and a series of simple architectural gestures. Central to the project is the concept of “Moodmass”, a sculptural composition formed by the staircase, a black volume and acrylic walls. Together, these elements establish the spatial core of the store while expressing the brand’s sense of balance, depth and atmosphere.
The interior experience unfolds through gradual changes in scale, material and light along the circulation route. Visitors move from a bright, open entrance into increasingly intimate spaces, reinforcing the changing character of the interior. Polished concrete flooring gives way to smaller concrete tiles, while large metal panels transition into finer modules, creating a subtle rhythm throughout the store.
Hand-finished acrylic and metal define the project's material identity, relying on texture and finish rather than overt visual effects. The exterior is composed of a simple volume wrapped in white glass, allowing the structural elements inside to be perceived as sculptural forms. Rather than functioning solely as a retail space, the flagship presents the brand’s values through a restrained architectural language.
