This project was designed for a wedding held inside an industrial warehouse in Ghent, Belgium. Rather than creating separate spaces, ERASED STUDIO conceived a single, evolving scenography that could establish a different atmosphere for each stage of the celebration. The main challenge was to introduce warmth and intimacy into the monumental existing structure, using a dynamic fabric installation as the central element of the design.

Upon entering, guests encountered a floating fabric suspended from a central structure above the dining table, resembling a large, double-layered canvas. Hanging just a few centimetres above the seated guests, it transformed the perception of the space by filling the void overhead. During dinner, ten performers approached the table and attached handheld ropes to the fabric. As they pulled, the fabric unfolded while the central structure was lowered, creating a tent-like volume illuminated by warm orange light that echoed the sunset outside.

At the end of dinner, the table was cleared and divided into four pieces, creating a central dance area. The structure was lowered further until the fabric began to drape across the floor. By pulling two central ropes, the installation underwent a final transformation, forming a third space resembling a cross-shaped cave. This configuration created an intimate and enclosed dance floor, contrasting with the vast, dark warehouse surrounding it.

Alongside the spatial design, ERASED STUDIO directed the artistic elements of the event, carefully curating the furniture, decoration, lighting, and music. Together, these elements maintained a cohesive aesthetic and immersive experience throughout the different stages of the celebration. Rather than defining the warehouse through permanent divisions, the project relied on movement and transformation to continuously reshape the space and its atmosphere.
